Jivamukti Yoga is a comprehensive method based on five pillars: bhakti (devotion), ahimsa (non-violence), nada (sound), dhyana (meditation), and shastra (study of ancient yogic scriptures). It strengthens your body, frees your mind, and deepens self-awareness. The Jivamukti Open classes I teach at ZEM are holistic experiences with asanas presented in a hatha-vinyasa style, meditation, and spiritual teachings, sometimes mantras chanting and are usually accompanied by uplifting music. These classes are open to all levels, though beginners should know that detailed “how-to” instructions are limited; for that, it’s best to attend a Basic or Beginner Vinyasa class first.
